Experienced at working in groups especially involving discussions always willing to listen and communicate with others.

Can Work effectively within large groups of people, previous experience working for four and half years in fresh food departments, learning useful and different ways to work as a team.

Workshops involving the general public, during final year of degree completed a two-week workshop at the Imperial War Museum at Salford Quays Manchester.

 

INITIATIVE

A part of ‘Airspace' Gallery and studios situated in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. Its plan to bring ‘New Art' to the city and set up a permanent creative centre for artists to exhibit and work. Also importantly involve the public in workshops and events helping to put together various events across the area.

My art practice involves continual investigation into different ideas; so as to always develop new ways of thinking and approaching art.

CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING

Ability to think in a creative way to solving problems and ideas, using relevant artistic and design skills in number of different ways and situations.

Knowledge of business skills such as financial, administrative and the aptitude to apply for commissions and various funding applications.

Research into artists, museums and galleries to help keep in touch with any creative developments and ideas.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Fully proficient in Microsoft and Apple Mac software, such as Auto-cad, Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, Microsoft office and Power-point.

Artistic and Photographic skills include digital and black and white film-processing, a general interest in new mediums and imaginative solutions to making and producing art.

Setting up and helping to initiate the first contemporary art gallery and artist led studios in Stoke-on-Trent, our aim is to get the area recognized for its creative wealth of artists and designers, helping to change the public's perceptions of art and making it become more accessible to a wider audience.

During my final year at university, I undertook the opportunity to work at I.W.M for a period of two weeks. The work included workshops for schools and the general public which openly involved them in art related activities, the theme was to get children to see how they saw themselves in Britain today and identify what war means to them.

Took Part in a two-week exhibition, based on emerging artists from around the country. The group is continuing with a number of new exhibitions planned for the new year including one involving Stoke-on-Trent city council in the cultural quarter in Hanley, Based in a disused building on Broadstreet

OBJECTIVES
I would like to pursue a career as a professional artist, or within creative design orientated industry. I'm currently looking at gaining relevant work experience and to be fully involved within a gallery, museum or school to offer my skills and to take an active role in working along side communities of all ages.
