My intention for the ICAW Harlech Biennale 2007 is to develop a sculptural group of five female figures in wood.
The subject of my composition will be deeply related to the mythical and folkloric background of Wales. I am using the Mabinogion as a reference and a source of information and influences.
The female figures will be sculpted into different degrees of nudity and abstraction.
Although I will mainly use a chain-saws to sculpt the figures, I will also use a special grinder and some hand tools. As I will be using local wood logs, my only requirement would be that the wood is not too soft nor too hard and that it could be left outdoors.
If the chain-saws will be provided by the organization, it is important to have plenty of fuel, oil and replacement parts.
I will also need an electric outlet for the other tools.
