ARTIST STATEMENT

I’m interested in exploring how memory occupies space, especially in relation to the different uses of a building; how past uses linger on into the present, changing our perception of a place. My current work explores these themes of place and memory, and the role that space has in influencing memory. In listing my previous bedrooms and the memories attached to them I’m able to view a life history through my personal space.
